A. It depends where he lives. I live in Iowa and I don't think you can annul a marriage.. In other places you can. Most places I think you have so many days like 30-90 days I think.. What I would do is have him call down to the courthouse or city hall and ask to talk to someone about divorce/annulment etc. and they will transfer you to talk to someone. A. If you live in the US, the laws depend on where you live and what the grounds are. (FYI despite popular belief, short-term marriage is not grounds for annulment) For example, in TX you can obtain an annulment on the grounds that the marriage took place less than 72 hours after the license was issued (which is against the law). But you must file within 30 days of the marriage. So you can file the day after the marriage, but you cannot file 31 days after the marriage.

A. It is possible to "expunge" some criminal records. It differs from county to county and certainly state to state. In general, it only applies to non-felony charges and you almost always have to have completed your sentence and no longer be on probation. Many counties publish the forms and instructions on their website. Typically, you complete one or more forms, submit an original and a few copies to the Court Clerk for filing, and either wait for the judge to sign (or not sign, as the case may be), or you may have to meet with the judge or attend a hearing. A. Go to the magistrate at your county court house and if he tells you see the clerk of court then do that and file for an annulment. It depends on how long you have been married, most have to be filed no later than 4-6 months from the date of marriage!

A. Things do not work like that here. The contract exists and you are bound by it. The landlord, through any agent being used, is entitled to forfeit the deposit and ask for the balance of the 6 months rent up to the first break period. Of course, they can waive any or all of the money that they are entitled to receive, but you are entirely dependent upon their generosity. That said, I have known landlords who are so generous, so it is always worth asking. I hope that this does not put you off the UK. You will soon get used to our peculiar little ways, and hopefully in a less expensive manner.

Most of these annual matches were bought in (I think anyway!!) when the VFL became the AFL to try to create some additional rivalries aside from Carlton V Collingwood, Hawthorn V Essendon, between the Vic Clubs and non Vic clubs. It got quite ridiculous there for a while with every game seemingly a something or other cup!. It doesn't seem to be publicised so much anymore.
