where do you post for free ad to give away pets?
Q. I looked on Craigslist & local freecycle lists and they don't allow ads for live animals. So, where can you post a free ad online to give away kittens / puppies?
Asked by center of the universe - Wed Jul 2 12:11:38 2008 - Other - Pets - 4 Answers - Comments
A. It's best not to give pets for free. A small adoption fee will help to insure a better home and life for the animal you are offering for adoption. Craigslist will allow you to post live animals. Per their prohibited items list: # Household pets of any kind including but not limited to dogs, cats, primates, cage birds, rodents, reptiles, amphibians, fish. Re-homing with small adoption fee OK Notice the last sentence: Re-homing with small adoption fee OK A quote from Never Offer a Pet "Free to good home" "It didn't cost me anything so I don't care if it dies." Unfortunately, this was an actual quote from an individual we know and would never have guessed their view of animals to be so inhumane. ~Mel

Do you put an ad in the newspaper when you're having a yard or garage sale?
Q. The ad will cost $45.00 so I was wondering if most people place ads or not and why. Is anyone who advertised positive that they got more customers and more sales because of the ad? Any tips and suggestions about garage sales would be appreciated.

A. Yes, put an ad in the paper. yard sale lovers look in the paper and go to several sales in one day. They rely on th paper to know where to go. It will bring lots of people that wouldn't see your signs. It is a must for a successful yard sale.

How long does the Facebook ad approval process typically take?
Q. I am looking to take out an ad on Facebook for our non-profit's newest campaign. I am wondering what the turnaround time is for approval. Thanks!
Asked by - Wed Oct 27 15:46:19 2010 - Facebook - 2 Answers - Comments
A. Hi there Mike, At Facebook, the ad approval time greatly depends on the current queue of ads, as well as what time of day it is. I've seen ads approved in as short as 30 minutes. That day, we must have caught them when they didn't have many other ads to approve. If it's after 5PM, ads generally don't get approved until the next day, but it shouldn't be much longer than that. Best of luck with your advertising adventure!

How do I position an ad in google ad words over free ads?
Q. Does anyone know how to position a google ad directly over the free ads? I have looked up the Google Adwords site a couple of times. I don't want my ad to appear in the sidebar, but directly above all the other free ads. Thanks!
Asked by Olivia29 - Thu Jun 10 10:27:49 2010 - Search Engine Optimization - 3 Answers - 1 Comments
A. The ability to appear over the organic results is controlled largely by your quality score. You need to be very relevant (in Google's eyes) and also bid high enough. The only real way to know if it will work is to try it. Make sure you have small adgroups with relevant ads and landing pages, and then work on increasing the click-through on your ads to improve your chances of showing up at the top.

What's the difference between and ad campaign and an ad flight?
Q. More specifically, what would be the common terms for defining: 1. A group of different ad creatives that collectively deliver a consistent message. That is, two 30 second TV spots and one 60 second TV spot all promoting Tide's new detergent. 2. Each of the individual pieces of creative that may be delivered. So in the example above, what would the one 60 second TV spot be called.
Asked by tke999 - Tue Aug 15 15:05:13 2006 - Search Engine Optimization - 1 Answers - Comments
A. 1. A group of commercials could be considered a campaign if it is truly big enough to really convey the company's message. In other words 2 commercials shown a couple times probably shouldn't be called a campaign- just two ads. The last thing you want to do is oversell the impact you may be having. 2. Each ad is usually just called an execution.

A. You can't. You can only add one. You can add the music first, save the video, start a new project, upload the video, and add the voice to it. Windows Movie Maker is not the best video editing program out there. I recommend you buy a better one or try a free alternative.

How come commercials for prescription drugs often refer to their ad in a magazine?
Q. Whenever I see an ad for some sort of prescription drug on TV, at the bottom of the screen, it always says something like "See our ad in Golf Magazine" or something like that. Why is this? Why would one ad refer you to another? And why would they want you to see this ad instead of just referring you to their website or something more useful?
Asked by sunny-d alright! - Mon Jul 28 21:34:22 2008 - Other - Advertising & Marketing - 2 Answers - 1 Comments
A. TV spots are typically 30 seconds long and you can only say so much in 30 seconds. Print ads, however, can hold a lot of information. Drug companies usually refer you to their ad in a magazine for a couple of reasons: 1. So you can get an expanded advertising message 2. Sometimes (not always) they get "co-op" money from a magazine (or a discount on ad insertion) if they mention them on TV Hope that helps!

What song is played during the ad (a movie montage) of the MAX Channel on the MAX Channel?
Q. During the intermission between the movies on television an ad for the channel is shown, revealing the movies it will be playing in the next few months. I want to know what the song is that is played during this ad. Does anyone know?
